Flying Stars is a form of Feng Shui that is concerned with the qi (or energy) quality, direction and flow over time. It incorporates the concept of time and space which is measured form a seasonal and cyclic point of view. The nine segments of the bagua are also known as 'palaces' into which 3 numbers 'fly'. These numbers are known as 'stars', which need to be activated or reduced, depending on their quality for that time period. The sitting (rear) and facing (front) palaces are the most important, since the facing reflects the wealth potential for the whole building, and the sitting direction reflects health and relationship potential.
